This holiday card is a homage to a historic block on Bank Street between Lisgar and Nepean. It is currently slated to be demolished and re-developed. 

This card memorializes the block as it was in the past — for example, Grace Foods left years ago, and Wallack's moved to a new location earlier this year as a result of the proposed development. In reality, today, the entire ground floor of the building is vacant.

This card also depicts how the upper stories of the block look in 2024, with the residential tenants protesting this demoviction with orange signs in their windows. Some of these tenants have lived here for 10-20 years. 

 Amongst all of this, it is also a holiday card, celebrating the darkest times with light and community.
